Premier League side Arsenal are resilient in their chase for French teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe. Embattled French manager Arsene Wenger is confident of landing the player this summer. It would be the biggest transfer coup in the club’s history if the deal happens.

Monaco seems focused on keeping the talented youngster, preferring he contributes to the team than selling him for a world record fee. Real Madrid and Paris St Germain are other sides that are keen on breaking the world record for the youngster. They are historically higher spenders but the Gunners want this one badly.

Wenger wants the French striker to be his first choice at the Emirates in the forthcoming season, and fans are already queueing up to buy tickets to theri home games next season via this link so they get the chance to see the likes of Mbappe play in the flesh.

Wenger is keen on winning the Premier League that has eluded him for 13 years now. If Mbappe decides to leave Monaco, it is believed he would prefer a move to north London where he would develop under the watchful eyes of Wenger – a manager known for youth development.

Real Madrid would have to sell of Karim Benzema if the deal goes in their direction or Edinson Cavani at PSG if they are the ones to lure the youngster. At the Emirates, Wenger would have to sell off Olivier Giroud, and West Ham could help them take him off their hands.

Wenger has helped French strikers develop to world class standard in the past. Nicolas Anelka and Thierry Henry come to mind. Anelka joined at age 17 and then developed to one of the most sought after strikers of his time. Henry became Arsenal’s record scorer and one of the biggest names in Premier League history.

If Mbappe moves to Arsenal, he would have to feature in the Europa League as the club failed to make the Champions League. Otherwise it would be the perfect move for development and career success.
